Rockabilly and Rock & Roll - Just The Way You Like It

With hard hitting Rock & Roll and Rockabilly tunes, Songdogz will bring your party alive!
Who's Who?
Rob "Brown Dog" Brown
Rob Brown - the Brown Dog has been playing some kind of musical instrument most of his life. Piano, euphonium, trumpet, just to name a few, but it was his big sisters guitar that stirred his musical soul the most when he picked it up and strummed his first chord over 30 years ago. Rob "Brown Dog" Brown took up playing the five string bass just for The Song Dogz giving the band strong, smooth and heavy bass tones to their sound.
Mike "Big Dog" van Denberg
The Big Dog originally came to Australia across the ditch from New Zealand but the other members of the band never make any jokes about the Big Dog chasing sheep..... Big Mike plays hard-hitting lead guitar and extracts some great rockabilly sounds from his Fender Telecaster and Gretch. His unique style adds a sharp sound with strong lead breaks to the Song Dogz tunes.
Don "Mongrel Dog" Macleod
Don "Mongrel Dog" Macleod once rocked and rolled on navy vessels but these days his Rock & Roll is done as lead singer and rhythym guitarist for the Song Dogz. Once a left hander, the Mongrel got into a dog fight resulting in losing the tip of one of his fingers. So he changed to play right handed guitar. But it's Don "Mongrel Dog's" great voice and vocal range that adds real character to the Songdogz. Probably from all the practice he gets howling at the moon.
Trent "The Pup" Pascoe
Following a short break in the navy, The Pup has returned to the Songdogz. Trent belts out a mean rockabilly beat on the skins but even better, he reduces the average age of the members considerably. Trent was first introduced to the band while still attending school at Toowoomba Grammar and played his first gigs with the Dogz while just 17 years. We're a bit concerned that if the Pup keeps giving drum sticks to besotted fans at gigs he'll have nothing left to hit the skins.
